The Corporate Treasury Group of General Electric Company and General Electric Capital Corporation raises funds, hedges transactions, manages cash, and interacts with various GE businesses and functions worldwide. Treasury handles the extensive term debt issuance, commercial paper offerings, and structure finance transactions of GE companies as well as derivatives transactions designed to mitigate interest rate and currency risk.

The Legal Intern will work closely with attorneys in the Legal group at Treasury and will be involved in various legal and compliance aspects of Treasury operations. These may include legal research relating to derivatives enforceability, drafting debt and derivatives documentation, tracking issuance of debt and credit support obligations against Board approved limits, and improving compliance and other systems.
