Fall ’11 – “POST-GRADUATE LEGAL FELLOWSHIPS” – Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law; Washington, DC
The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law is accepting applications for the 2011 Skadden, Equal Justice Works (EJW) and George N. Lindsay Legal Fellowships.
The Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, was formed in 1963 at the request of President John F. Kennedy to involve the private bar in providing legal services to address racial discrimination. The principal mission of the Lawyers' Committee is to secure, through the rule of law, equal justice under law.
Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to equal justice and equal opportunity for all. Applicants should be dedicated to using innovative strategies (including non-litigation strategies) to address entrenched or cutting edge racial, national origin and other discrimination matters. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in advocating for racial, national origin, gender, or economic justice for the most excluded people in our society.
